Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
